When bringing a vehicle into any one of the 44 local Seattle GM Goodwrench dealers, consumers now can earn frequent flyer miles on their choice of eight airlines.
Beginning Aug. 1, General Motors became the first automotive manufacturer in the U.S. to reward its service customers with miles. GM Goodwrench customers who purchase select maintenance services will receive GM Goodwrench Miles, or miles redeemable on Alaska/Horizon Airlines, American Airlines, America West Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines or US Airways.
Customers can earn 500 miles by purchasing a GM recommended 15, 30 or 45 thousand-mile service or regularly scheduled vehicle maintenance visit. The purchase of brake service earns 250 miles, while lube, oil and filter, or tire rotation and balance services earn 100 miles apiece. Dealers may offer GM Goodwrench Miles on any other service provided at their individual stores.
Consumers receive a voucher with the designated mile amount from the dealer once the service has been completed and can visit http://www.gmgoodwrenchmiles.com for redemption. At the Web site customers can also find a participating dealer or join a frequent flyer program. Alternatively, customers can mail in their voucher to redeem the miles.
