PrivilegeFlyer, a membership-based service providing support for frequent flyers since 1987, has temporarily suspended the “AwardGuard” benefit to new members. The insurance that covers AwardGuard — a product designed to protect members’ awards in the event of a frequent traveler program bankruptcy — is in renegotiations.

Current members will continue to be covered by AwardGuard with no interruption of service. All other PrivilegeFlyer benefits remain in place.
