Hawaiian Airlines has filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11. John W. Adams, chairman and chief executive officer, said that the company hopes to complete the restructuring and emerge from Chapter 11 in the fall.
“In the meantime, tickets will be honored, maintenance and service will continue at the highest levels, and our HawaiianMiles program will continue to offer fliers significant award benefits,” Adams said.
To that end, HawaiianMiles continues to offer bonuses, including an online booking bonus through Dec. 31 of 500 miles per segment for inter-island flights and 2,000 miles per roundtrip between Hawaii and the mainland U.S.
Upcoming specials in May will include quadruple miles and rates starting at $69 with Ohana Hotels, 1,500 bonus miles with Prince Hotels & Resorts, a new partnership with Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu a Benchmark Hotel, bonus miles on cruises to Mexico and Tahiti and a free rental day promotion with Hertz.
