Residents of the U.S. and Canada who purchase a pointsplus membership from Points.com by June 1 will receive 1,000 Mileage Plan bonus miles, $10 off a purchase from FTD.COM and a free 10 minute calling card.

For those who don’t already know, Points.com is an online loyalty currency exchange that allows you to convert loyalty points and miles between airlines, retail, hotels, gift certificate, telecommunication and gasoline programs. For $14.95 a pointsplus membership allows you to perform an unlimited number of exchanges for one year.

Be warned, however: Exchanges through these types of services can result in serious devaluation of your miles and points. While points.com is a solid, above-board outfit, and it does indeed offer a unique and innovative service, don’t expect anything close to an even exchange.
