Delta has announced that award sales to several destinations have been extended to include travel between Jan. 16 and March 14, 2002. During this period, members can redeem 25,000 miles for travel between the continental United States and Mexico City or Guadalajara, Mexico. SkyMiles members can also travel between the 50 United States, Bermuda, Canada, the Caribbean or Mexico and Colombia or Venezuela for 30,000 miles. Each of the awards represent a saving of 5,000 miles.

And there are plenty of other destinations available at reduced award prices, including Panama and El Salvador for 30,000 miles; Chile, Brazil and Europe for 40,000 miles and Japan for 45,000 miles.

These awards are only available via a Delta Reservation sales representative, so you can forget about using the online booking tool for now.
