United recently ran a few award sales–so we got in touch with our contact at United to find out if these types of very limited-time award sales will become a trend. In response to our question as to why these offers now, we received, “We are continually looking for ways for our members to get the most out of their miles and these awards do just that.” And to our question of, do you see Mileage Plus running similar offers on a continuous basis? We were told, “We are currently evaluating the popularity of these offers.”
