In our latest monthly rundown of hotel chain promotions, these are the main chain-wide promos available in October 2021.

Hilton Honors

Hilton’s fall promotion is now live – click here to register – where you can earn:

  • Double points for all stays
  • Triple points if you pay using a Hilton co-branded credit card

Worth It?

If you commit to Hilton Honors with the Aspire credit card and its associated Diamond status, you can earn up to 54 points per $ spent. This super-charged earning helps offset the huge number of points needed for free nights. If you can’t or won’t get the credit card, a mere double points promotion is fairly weak…

Marriott Bonvoy

Marriott’s fall promotion is now live. Registration is required.

Members can earn:

  • 1,500 bonus points per paid stay
  • 4,500 bonus points per paid stay at an all-inclusive resort

Worth It?

If you like to hop from one hotel to another, those 1,500 bonus points will start to add up. But for long, expensive stays, this promotion isn’t going to make any difference…

IHG Rewards

IHG’s fall promotion starts on October 1st, 2021.  Registration is required.

Members can earn:

  1. NO BONUS for their first stay
  2. Double points for their second stay (i.e. an additional 10 points per $ spent)
  3. Triple points for every subsequent stay (i.e. an additional 20 points per $ spent)

Worth It?

It is VERY annoying when you do not receive a bonus for your first or second stay during a promotion period. Triple points can be lucrative, however, especially if you can squeeze in two cheaper stays before a long, expensive one…

World of Hyatt

World of Hyatt has yet to announce a promotion for October, 2021.

Radisson Rewards Americas

Radisson Americas members can earn 7,000 bonus points per night, up to a maximum of 70,000 bonus points. Registration is required.

Worth It?

7,000 point per night is potentially very lucrative, even though you cannot earn enough bonus points for even one night at Radisson’s top hotels in the Americas…

The Bottom Line

The promotions currently on offer aren’t really too much to get excited about. Hilton’s promotion is potentially the best, if you can pay with an eligible credit card.
