Arik Air Launches WingsPlus

West Africa’s Arik Air has launched its first frequent flyer program. Called Arik WingsPlus, program members can earn miles toward free flights, upgrades and excess baggage vouchers on international flights. Miles accrued vary by sector. For example, flying one-way in business class from New York to Lagos will earn 5,000 miles and a domestic business class ticket one-way award is 5,000 miles, so by flying one long-haul route you will have enough miles for a free domestic flight. For existing customers, and to recognize and reward past loyalty, Arik Air is offering the opportunity to claim up to 50 percent mileage accrual for travel undertaken in the period between July 1, 2010 and January 23, 2011 (six months before the introduction of the program). All miles are valid for two years from the day they were credited to your account.

Arik Air flies to 18 destinations in Nigeria and nine international destinations in West Africa and beyond including New York, Johannesburg and London from hubs in Lagos and Abuja. To learn more about this new program, and to join, visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?3972
