Singapore: Valuair Launches Its Own Program

Singapore-based low-cost carrier Valuair has launched a new frequent flyer program, called “Valupoints,” under which each boarding pass will be worth a set number of points. Valupoints members who accrue enough points will be able to redeem them for an adult roundtrip ticket on any Valuair route.

Boarding passes from flights between Singapore and Bangkok or Jakarta are worth two points each; passes from Singapore-Hong Kong flights are worth three.

Forty points will earn a roundtrip ticket between Singapore and Bangkok or Jakarta; 60 points will earn a flight between Singapore and Hong Kong.

All boarding passes must be in the same name, and lost boarding passes will not be replaced, and will not count toward award credit.

Awards may be issued in anyone’s name, but tickets issued to a passenger other than the original earner will be subject to a fee of roughly US$18.
