Hyatt has announced its “Hyatt.com Best Rate Guarantee,” assuring guests that the best published Internet rates at any Hyatt worldwide can be found on Hyatt.com. If a customer finds a better Internet rate on another site, they can call 888-96-HYATT or (402) 593-5445 to make the claim. Upon verification, a Hyatt representative makes the reservation at the better rate, less a 20-percent discount.

Additionally, through Feb. 29, when booking on Hyatt.com, guests will receive 1,000 Gold Passport bonus points after each completed stay.

Hyatt joins both Hilton and Starwood in providing such a guarantee. No word yet on whether points will no longer be earned on stays booked at third-party sites (as is the case with both Hilton and Starwood).
