For some time now, Hilton HHonors has been offering some astounding package deals with its VIP-only Vacation Rewards.

The “Aloha Spirit” package, for example, awards six free nights at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa or the Hilton Waikoloa Village (complete with canal boats to guide you around the resort). The “Golf Getaway” similarly offers six nights for two at selected resort properties in Arizona, Hawaii, southern California, south Florida and South Carolina. And the “Going Global” package offers six nights at participating non-Premium hotels worldwide (Premium-level hotels are available, but as you may expect, tend to cost more).

And you can get any of these packages for a blanket 100,000 points. Not a bad deal at all.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. On June 1, that tidy 100,000 point sum will be bumped up substantially — by 50 to 75 percent. The “Aloha Spirit” and “Golf Getaway” packages are increasing to 175,000 points, and the “Going Global” pops up to 150,000 for non-Premium hotels.
