Starting May 1 and continuing through June 30, 2011, SPG members can purchase points at a 20 percent discount. Normally $35 for 1,000, points will cost only $28 for 1,000 points with the discount. Points can only be purchased by members whose accounts have been active for a minimum of 90 days and members can purchase up to 20,000 points per year in increments of 500 points.
