There is no lack of Web sites available to help you track your loyalty program miles and points and Traxo.com (still in beta mode) is the latest. To entice new members to sign up, Traxo is running a sweepstakes for members who register for its Loyalty Tracker. The last day to enter the sweepstakes is July 30, 2010, and members will receive one entry for signing up and up to 50 additional entries for referring friends who accept the referral. Prizes include a $500 American Airlines gift card or $500 Travelocity gift card and a grand prize of five $500 gift cards.

The Traxo.com loyalty tracker supports 36 airlines, 16 hotels, seven car rental companies, Amtrak and four credit card programs, including American Express Membership Rewards and Diners Club. You can also add selected travel sites, such as Orbitz and Travelocity, and the Web site will download your travel information. Traxo.com is not solely a mileage tracker and you can use the site to organize your trips and connect with other Traxo users.

Bottom line: We added a few programs to test out the tracker and four days later, we still weren’t able to view our account balances. Under Points, the explanation “Retrieving, please check back soon” appeared. Until Traxo.com is able to provide the most up-to-date numbers, the other online mileage managers are a better choice. But you have until the end of July to join and automatically be entered into the sweepstakes.
