Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Launches Richest U.S. Credit Card

Okay, heard about the credit crunch in the U.S.? Well, apparently Virgin Atlantic Flying Club didn’t get the memo as they have recently launched what has to be one of the richest credit card offers in the country. The new White or Black Virgin Atlantic American Express card (issued by Bank of America) earns cardholders 1.5 miles per dollar spent — not in certain categories but for all everyday spend. And the Black card may well be the cheapest “Platinum-style” credit card on the market at only $90 annually. While many other cards have reduced their annual fee, the ability to earn extraordinary bonuses from an airline that has suffered a bit from only offering a single destination from the U.S., makes the annual fee one worth paying for. In addition, unlike the credit card they currently offer to members in the U.K., this credit card will allow members to earn tier points toward elite status, earning one tier point for every $2,500 in credit card spend. And like other credit cards there are no lack of incentives: a 20,000-mile bonus upon your first purchase with the card and up to 15,000 additional bonus miles when you renew the card annually. While late to the credit card party, there is no doubt that Virgin, as always, enjoys a grand entrance. Welcome to the “U.S. world of plastic” Flying Club, and we’ll see you online at http://www.virginatlantic.com/plastic to sign up.
