TAM Airlines has discontinued its first class service on flights to the U.S., Europe (Germany, Spain, France, U.K. and Italy) and Mexico. “With this change, we will be able to offer an even better and more personalized on-board service to more passengers,” said Jerome Cadier, CMO at LATAM Airlines Group. The airline is upgrading its business class seats, with the new seats being 84 inches long when reclined. The seat upgrades will be gradually rolled out to all Boeing 777 aircraft and will be concluded by the end of the first half of 2015.
Another change to the onboard experience, starting Nov. 1, 2014, is a dedicated crew member will be responsible for overseeing the flight experience and will circulate throughout the economy and first class cabins to ensure service consistency.
