You may remember the Match My Miles Challenge from Capital One last year where new Capital One Venture cardmembers could receive a match of 100,000 bonus miles if they provided proof of having earned 100,000 miles in a frequent flyer program. The bank is bringing back the offer, but changing the criteria for this year. They are still offering a 100,000-mile matching bonus, but only to new cardholders who can prove they spent $50,000 on a single travel credit card last year. Capital One will give two Venture miles for every $1 spent on your travel credit card in 2011, up to 100,000 miles. To earn the bonus miles, you must submit your 2011 year-end credit card summary and spend $1,000 on your newly approved Venture card within 90 days. If you participated in the Match My Miles Challenge in 2011 or are an existing Venture cardholder, you are ineligible for the Double Miles Challenge. All major travel rewards cards all eligible for the match, with the exception of small business cards, debit cards, fleet cards, private label credit cards, corporate cards, prepaid cards and Capital One credit cards.
