Brussels is the newest Thai Airways destination and Royal Orchid Plus members can earn bonus miles and an award discount on the new route between Bangkok and Brussels. From Nov. 17, 2011 through Jan. 31, 2012 members can earn 1,000 bonus miles per segment in economy and 2,000 bonus miles in Royal Silk Class on Thai Airways flights to Brussels. Awards are discounted 25 percent to 52,500 miles in economy and 117,500 miles in Royal Silk class. Royal Orchid Plus members who update their membership to include their lifestyle preferences and travel interests can earn 300 bonus miles from Oct. 1 to Dec. 15, 2011. Siam Commercial Bank is the latest Royal Orchid Plus partner and SCB Platinum and Beyond Platinum cardholders can now convert SCB Rewards points into miles at the rate of two points to one mile. Credit cardholders who register can earn double miles on all Thai flights within Thailand through Oct. 31, 2011.

On the redemption side, golf enthusiasts can redeem miles for an overnight golf getaway at Kirimaya, Khao Yai for 32,000 miles per person through Oct. 31, 2011.
