As of last month, Continental Airlines flights between the U.S. and Lima will no longer be eligible for complimentary elite upgrades. Service fees for OnePass upgrade awards will also apply to mileage redemptions beginning on June 1. Scott O’Leary, Managing Director of Customer Experience explained on FlyerTalk that “flights between the U.S. and Lima will match the OnePass upgrade policies and service fees as our longer flights, such as those between the U.S. and Europe, since they are comparable in both flight duration and onboard product.” Copa Airlines flights between Panama and Lima are not included and elite members on these flights will still be eligible for upgrades.
