Air New Zealand has announced a new in-flight concierge service that will assist international passengers. “International Airline Concierges will be a combination of travel advisors, disrupt managers, loyalty experts and destination experts, focusing on supporting every customer traveling with us,” explained Ed Sims of Air New Zealand. Among many other duties, the concierge employees will advise passengers on managing their Air Points. Up to 90 concierge staff will be employed and the new service is expected to be launched in April on flights between Auckland and Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and Hong Kong. “This brand-new concierge role will ensure that everyone traveling with Air New Zealand — no matter how full the aircraft — receives the personal attention they deserve and the advice they need,” said Sims.
