Starting this month, Air Berlin Top Bonus members will have the benefit of earning and redeeming miles with four airlines on four continents: Air Berlin, LTU, belair and NIKI. And members who do not fly enough to earn elite status can now get the Top Bonus Service Card for an annual fee of 40 euros. The Service Card offers free seat reservations for you and your traveling companions (one adult and children under 12 years old), eight euros discount on XL seats, 10 kg additional baggage allowance and one additional item of sports equipment baggage (such as a bicycle or surfboard) free of charge. If you don’t have enough miles for an award ticket, you can buy 2,000 miles for 60 euros, 5,000 miles for 135 euros or 10,000 miles for 250 euros; maximum purchase per calendar year is 10,000 miles. And you can now book award flights for friends and family regardless of your membership status.
