Malev Hungarian Airlines and British Airways have signed an agreement that will enable the two airlines to begin codesharing on each other’s flights beginning in November. Malev will join British Airways as a member of the oneworld Alliance early next year. Malev’s flight code will be placed on British Airways’ three daily flights from London Heathrow to Budapest and British Airways’ flight code will be placed on Malev’s two daily flights from Budapest to London Gatwick.

In addition, British Airways’ flight code will be placed on Malev’s flights beyond Budapest to Constanta, Larnaca, Sarajevo, Skopje, Timisoara, Tirana and Varna. Malev’s flight code will be placed on British Airways’ flights beyond London Gatwick to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle. Members will be able to redeem frequent flyer awards across the airlines’ networks and have access to each airline’s airport lounges.
