Apple computer has introduced its MagSafe Airline Power Adapter, a device that allows Mac notebook owners to plug into an airline seat power port for constant in-flight power. This new device follows bans on Apple and Dell laptops enacted by several airlines after the recent lithium-ion battery issues that caused some laptop batteries to burst into flames. The new adapter has a price tag of $60 and features the MagSafe magnetic DC plug that enables a clean, quick break from the power port if the cord is accidentally yanked — like when the guy beside you decides that he needs to visit the back of the plane. Take note that the adaptor does not charge the battery while in use.
