Delta Air Lines is offering SkyMiles members a “Breezeway” through dedicated boarding lanes at airports throughout the United States. The special lanes, marked as such with red signs and blue carpet, allow anytime boarding for Delta first class and business class flyers as well as SkyMiles, Silver, Gold and Platinum Medallion members; SkyTeam Elite and SkyTeam Elite Plus customers.

Breezeway has received mixed reviews from SkyMiles members but as one FlyerTalker stated, “It’s a simple idea and simple to use. Keep it, if I ever am late and want to get onboard to put my carry-on in the overhead before all the knuckle-heads get on board, I will be the first to use it.”

Delta has plans to expand the boarding lanes early this year to airports in Canada, the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, Latin America and airports served by Delta Connection partners. Continental has had a similar policy in place for quite some time.
