All you have to do is walk up to the Asia Miles service desk before your flight closes for check-in and request to redeem your miles for an upgrade. If you do not have enough miles for an upgrade, you can use Asia Miles Top-Up to boost your mileage balance over the threshold, but be aware that you must have at least 70 percent of the miles required for the upgrade as you will only be allowed to purchase 30 percent of the miles needed for the upgrade award. The instant upgrades are only available on Cathay Pacific marketed and operated flights. Instant upgrades are valid on eligible sub-class J, C, D, I (Business Class), and Y, B, H, K, L, M, V (Economy Class). As usual, the instant upgrades are subject to seat availability and airport conditions on departure.
