Red Roof Inns has not been a major part of the frequent flyer’s vocabulary of late, largely because the chain’s loyalty program, RediCard, only offered free stays, not airline miles.

All that is about to change as Red Roof launches an aggressive new marketing effort to let members know that they may now earn Delta SkyMiles.

The new partnership allows RediCard Preferred Members the opportunity to earn 1,000 miles upon reaching 5,000 points in the RediCard program. The RediCard program rewards frequent stay guests with 10 RediCard points for each dollar spent. RediCard Preferred Members must elect Delta miles as their reward to earn miles and may change their reward option at any time during their membership.

Additionally, as a special launch offer, new RediCard Preferred Members who choose Delta miles as their reward will earn 2,000 miles for every 5,000 points earned, the equivalent of four miles per dollar spent, from March 15 through June 30.
