Air Canada’s Aeroplan accidentally sent 618 confidential e-mail addresses to other Aeroplan members in October.

Apparently an Air Canada supplier sent out the information as part of a mass mailing to customers who had participated in a recent Aeroplan photography contest.

A company spokeswoman told the press that Aeroplan was taking the slip-up very seriously, as it may have violated the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
