Richard Branson announced that Virgin has teamed up with investment firm Bain Capital to build two cruise ships and begin operating Virgin Cruises out of Miami. The new company plans to take advantage of the opportunity to become a global player in the industry while bringing a sense of fun and excitement as well as Virgin’s signature style to an industry that they feel needs to be rejuvenated. Virgin has not yet announced a launch date or plans for a loyalty program.
