IHG Rewards Club members will have a new way to spend their points when the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay hotel opens in 2016. The 225-room hotel will be located along the Singapore River in a mixed-use development of restaurants, bars and retail outlets and near the Orchard Road shopping area. IHG currently has six hotels in Singapore and this will be the second InterContinental property.

Bottom line:
The InterContinental Singapore, also close to Orchard Road, offers award nights starting at 50,000 points, so our guess is that the new hotel will be in the same hotel award category.
