Park Hyatt New York is a new hotel award option for members of Hyatt Gold Passport. The hotel is now taking reservations starting Aug. 28, 2014, at Gold Passport’s new (as of January 2014) Category 7 level–30,000 points. If there is an option for a Points + Cash award, the cost would be $300 plus 15,000 points. That might seem like a lot but not when the average room starts at around $625 per night and goes above $1,000, and the stay would count toward elite status and be eligible for a suite upgrade. The hotel is a short walk from Central Park and across from Carnegie Hall at 153 West 57th Street and will have 210 rooms with 92 of those being suites. All accommodations will include 46 inch TVs, built-in TV in bathroom mirror, two-sink vanity and heated floor in bathrooms, complimentary bottled water and more. There will be complimentary WiFi, a spa and a gym, among other amenities. Visit http://www.newyork.park.hyatt.com to book.
