As we go to press, Travel bloggers are abuzz with news of new “Crossover Rewards” coming from Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) and Delta SkyMiles. The program allows elite-status members of both programs to receive exclusive new benefits. The program officially launches March 1, 2013. All Delta Medallion (elite-level) members will earn one mile per $1 spent on eligible room rates for Starwood Hotels and Resorts stays, in addition to the Starpoints usually earned for a stay. Diamond and Platinum members will have access to additional benefits when staying at Starwood including priority check-in, 4pm late checkout and free in-room Internet access.

All SPG elite members will one Starpoint per $1 spent on Delta tickets (excluding taxes and fees). SPG Platinum members will receive additional benefits including one free checked bag, priority check-in and boarding when flying Delta.
