Bottom line: When we searched for hotels, the Free Night Fall rate was the same as the best available rate, but more expensive than the advance purchase rate that offers a 20 percent discount. Paying an extra $20 per night for two nights is worth the cost if you can take advantage of the free night, which is only valid for two months. And don’t forget to register after your stay and hold on to the paper certificate that will be mailed to you since you will need it later when you check-in for your free night stay.
