JetBlue Getaways Cash and Points

JetBlue Getaways Cash and Points

JetBlue TrueBlue members can now use a combination of cash and points to book vacation packages with JetBlue Getaways. TrueBlue members have been able to earn six points per dollar spent (eight points when paying with the JetBlue AMEX) on JetBlue Getaways since 2010, and now members can use points and cash when redeeming for vacation packages. JetBlue Getaways offers vacation packages to 71 destinations in the U.S., Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Packages include flights and hotels and the option to include car rentals, airport transfers and activities. If you need to make a change, customers who book a JetBlue Getaways package through Dec. 31, 2012 can receive a one-time waiver of the $100 per person change fee.

Visit http://www.jetblue.com/getaways for more information. To book using points, click the Cash + Points button when searching for a vacation package. Members will not earn points on the cash portion of JetBlue Getaways and you must redeem a combination of cash and points. Points-only redemptions are not allowed. For example, we found a three-night stay at the Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino for 50,400 points plus $571.36 for two people at the end of September. The cash-only price for the same stay would be $1,369.59. In this scenario, each point would be worth $.016, so just over a penny and a half per point.
