Avis First has removed blackout dates on their two-day rental award certificates. Avis First members receive two-day weekend rental awards with every fourth qualifying rental of two or more days. Now, members can redeem their weekend rentals at any place, any time, including holidays. Members can earn up to eight free rental certificates per year that can be redeemed at participating Avis locations in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Rental credits toward free weekend rental awards will not be earned on rentals where the member earns miles or points with a frequent flyer or hotel loyalty program. Other Avis First benefits include free car class upgrades, the ability to skip the lines and go directly to their vehicle, exclusive customer service line and members-only website. Avis Preferred Service members need to complete at least 12 rentals or 35 or more rental days to qualify for Avis First membership.
