When it comes to online award booking, Continental.com is a clear leader. The airline has recently added all Star Alliance partners except for Ethiopian Airlines to their award booking engine so members can easily search online for most award flights. Delta SkyMiles includes a few partners such as Air France and KLM in their online award search and American Airlines AAdvantage members can only book awards on American Airlines and Alaska Airlines online. US Airways only includes flights on their own metal, but Dividend Miles members can search for Star Alliance flights on continental.com and call the Dividend Miles service center to book the flight.

Kudos to Continental for being the first U.S.-based carrier to offer a comprehensive award search across nearly all of their partner airlines. Gary Leff of View from the Wing says that the tool isn’t always completely accurate with pricing awards, “note that sometime the website will misprice awards especially when searching multi-city, you may need to call for the right pricing so be vigilant!”
