The Star Alliance network of airlines is expanding in China with the newest addition of Shenzhen Airlines to the alliance. Air China joined the Star Alliance in December 2007 and now Chinese carrier Shenzhen Airlines, the fifth largest airline in China, will be joining the Star Alliance by the end of 2012. After the integration process is complete, Shenzhen Airlines will add five new destinations to the alliance: Juzhou (Zhejiang Province), Linyi, Qinhuangdao, Shijiazhuang and Zhoushan.
