Bye-Bye Foreign Transaction Fee

Bye-Bye Foreign Transaction Fee

The foreign transaction fee seems to be fading away. According to the New York Times, Chase has announced that its United Mileage Plus Club Visa and the Continental Presidential Plus card will no longer levy a fee when processing a transaction outside of the United States. At press time, information for the UA card we found is still showing a foreign transaction fee, but the CO card no longer has one. Chase has already dropped the fees on British Airways, Priority Club Rewards and Hyatt co-branded credit cards. Other credit card companies have also dropped these fees with some of their cards.
