American Express is eliminating the foreign exchange fees for Platinum and Centurion cardholders. The nearly three percent fee is currently levied on all transactions that post in any foreign currency. Other cards that waive foreign exchange fees include the credit cards issued by Chase and Hyatt Gold Passport, IHG Priority Club and British Airways Executive Club. The fee is expected to be eliminated from American Express Platinum and Centurion cards by the end of March 2011.
