Points at Vegas Hotels

The Venetian and The Palazzo casino resorts in Las Vegas have signed a 10-year contract with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and as of early next year, members of Priority Club Rewards can earn and redeem points when staying at these two hotels with a combined 7,000 rooms. Members will be able to redeem approximately 40,000 Priority Club points for a night at The Venetian. Initially, just these two Sands properties will be welcomed into Priority Club Rewards, but IHG has stated that the partnership is a foot in the door to other areas where Sands properties are located such as Singapore and Macau.

Other hotel groups showing up in Vegas include Wyndham, which has a franchise agreement with Planet Hollywood, and Marriott, which has added The Cosmopolitan, set to open Dec. 15, 2010, into its Autograph collection.

Southwest Airlines also partners with The Venetian and The Palazzo and until Dec. 30, 2010, Rapid Rewards members can earn one full credit (double credit) for qualifying stays at either hotel. In addition to double credit, Rapid Rewards members will get the following vouchers upon check in: $25 off the bill at Dos Caminos with a $50 minimum purchase, two-for-one specialty cocktail at Sushi Samba, two complimentary indoor gondola tickets and more. You must book the stay at southwest.com and complete the stay by Dec. 30, 2010. Be sure to provide your Rapid Rewards account number at check in.
