New American Express Credit Card

New American Express Credit Card

American Express has launched a new Blue Sky Preferred Card that comes with an annual $100 airline allowance that can be used to pay for airline fees. For non-elite members who bring more than a carry-on, this card can help to cover the cost of checked bags. Or you can purchase a meal or in-flight entertainment with the allowance. The allowance can be used to pay for baggage fees, legroom upgrades with same seat class, in-flight beverages and food, in-flight movies and headphones, blankets and pillows, WiFi, in-flight phone and satellite access. The card has an annual fee of $75 and also offers double points on dining, hotel and car rentals. All other purchases earn one point per dollar spent. This card does not participate in Membership Rewards, but points earned with this card can be redeemed for travel purchases. Book a flight, car rental, hotel room or other eligible travel purchase and you can redeem 7,500 points for a $100 statement credit. You can also redeem points for American Express gift cards, which can be redeemed for 3,250 points for a $25 gift card and 6,500 points for a $50 gift card. Blue Sky Gas Rewards and Blue Sky Dining Rewards Gift Cards are available for $25 for 3,250 points and $50 for 6,500 points. These cards are accepted at virtually any gas station or restaurant in the U.S. that accepts American Express cards.
