The Frequent Traveler Awards has assumed the role of letting travelers rate the best frequent flyer and frequent guest programs worldwide after our beloved Freddie Awards ended in 2009. Over a million people from 200 countries cast their votes and the 2010 winners were announced on Nov. 4, 2010 at the first annual Frequent Traveler Awards ceremony in Houston. Air Canada Aeroplan won the frequent flyer Program of the Year in the Americas. Aeroplan also won Best Earning Promotion and Best Redemption Ability. Delta Air Lines SkyMiles won Best Redemption Promotion and United Mileage Plus received top honors of Best Elite-Level Program. In the hotel category, Marriott Rewards won best loyalty program in four out of the six categories: Program of the Year, Best Redemption Promotion, Best Earning Promotion and Best Redemption Ability. Hyatt Gold Passport won Best Elite-Level Program and the Alaska Airlines Visa won Best Loyalty Credit Card.
