United Mileage Plus Select Visa

United Mileage Plus Select Visa

The annual fee has been lowered for the Mileage Plus Select Visa. In the past, the annual fee was $130; now, it’s $95, a savings of $35 per year. The card offers three miles per dollar spent plus elite qualifying miles (up to 5,000 EQMs per year) for united.com purchases; two miles per dollar spent on gas, home improvement purchases, groceries, dining and Star Alliance purchases and one mile per dollar spent elsewhere. After you spend $250 on your new card, you’ll receive 30,000 miles and a $50 United discount travel certificate; and each year of owning the card, you’ll receive 5,000 bonus miles at your card anniversary. Bottom line: This card has some good benefits for frequent flyers–the boost toward elite status, generous sign-on bonus, triple miles for United purchases and more. But be aware that if you are late for a payment, the “penalty APR” is a whopping 29.99 percent. There is also a lower-fee Visa, $60 per year, which also offers a 30,000-mile sign-on bonus but no elite qualifying miles. Visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2313 to learn more.
