SkyTeam has signed a preliminary membership agreement with Vietnam Airlines. Pending a fulfillment of the alliance membership requirements, Vietnam Airlines will become a part of the SkyTeam sometime in 2010. Vietnam Airlines operates 64 routes to 20 domestic and 24 international destinations including Beijing, Guangzhou, Melbourne, Moscow, Paris, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo. The airlines will add 17 new destinations to the SkyTeam network, including 14 cities in Vietnam.
