United, Making Life Bearable

United, Making Life Bearable

United Airlines is once again teaming up with the American Cancer Society to bring a little happiness to children with cancer. For a contribution of $50 or 7,500 Mileage Plus miles to the American Cancer Society, United will arrange for a limited-edition 18-inch Gund teddy bear, Maye I. Hugyou, to be delivered to children undergoing cancer treatment in select hospitals around the country.

Contribute $250 or more and a second teddy bear will be sent to your home. The second teddy bear will not be sent to your home if you donate miles, regardless of the amount of miles donated. The funds raised will support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from cancer by investing in research to discover cancer’s causes and cures, educating and empowering people to avoid the disease or find it early, helping people facing cancer overcome obstacles in their personal cancer fight and fighting for laws to keep our communities healthy and cancer free. Miles donated will be applied to the American Cancer Society Air Miles program to be used to transport cancer patients and their caregivers to treatment. Maye is the blue-eyed sister of last year’s teddy bear, Kenny Hugyou.
