United Airlines is restructuring some job positions with the idea of positioning Mileage Plus as a standalone business unit, according to several news reports. Graham Atkinson will move from his role as chief customer officer to take over as president of the Mileage Plus program and one of his duties will be to focus on getting Mileage Plus ready to go out on its own.
