Bloomberg News reports that Delta may get as much as $1.5 billion in cash when it chooses a bank to run the Delta/Northwest combined co-branded credit card program, a UBS Securities LLC analyst said. The analyst believes that a payment of $1 billion to $1.5 billion could go to Delta, including the purchase of frequent flyer miles and a bonus. The combined airline’s frequent flyer program will have 60 million members.
