ExpressJet No Longer

ExpressJet No Longer

Attention JetSet members: use your points to book travel before Sept. 2, 2008, the day ExpressJet Airlines will cease its branded commercial service. The airline began flying under its own name early last year and provided point-to-point service for smaller, regional markets. The JetSet program launched on April 2, 2007 and grew to over 70,000 members within five months. Jim Ream, President and Chief Executive Officer said, “If we had any other choice, we would not take this difficult action. However, rising fuel prices has made the operation impossible to sustain.”

ExpressJet will continue to sell tickets for travel prior to Sept. 2 and customers with ticketed travel for flights after Sept. 1, 2008 should contact ExpressJet at 888-958-XJET (9538) for a refund. ExpressJet will continue flying for Continental Express in addition to maintaining its ExpressJet Corporate Aviation charter service.
