Not to be outdone, United Mileage Plus came out with an offer similar to AAdvantage’s to help members retain or achieve elite status. Mileage Plus members can earn double elite-qualifying miles on all eligible United Airlines, United Express and Ted flights completed April 21 through June 15, 2008. Registration is required and unlike American’s offer, you must register before flying to earn the bonus EQMs — so you’ll have to move fast. The offer is only open to Mileage Plus members residing in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
