When we interviewed Greg Brown, VP of Choice Privileges, in the March Issue of InsideFlyer, he mentioned that the program would be expanding internationally with a new pan-European program. Members have always been able to redeem points for stays at European properties, but they will now be able to earn points as well. Choice Privileges officially announced the new policy on May 5, 2008. Choice Privileges members can now earn 10 points per dollar spent on qualifying stays at hotels in 10 European countries, including Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. About the expansion, Brown said, “It’s great to be able to offer our members the opportunity to now earn points at European properties.” In addition, all European residents (excluding Scandinavia) can now join the Choice Privileges program.
