Alaska Mileage Plan recently updated their software and members are noticing that some of the routes they’ve been taking for years are now earning a different mileage amount. For example, a member reported that a recent SEA-LAX flight netted 954 miles each way, where in the past, that same flight earned 978 miles each way. That 48 miles per roundtrip ticket could make a big difference to your bottom line if you generally barely qualify for elite status — so check your account balance carefully so there are no nasty surprises at year’s end.
