Southwest LUVs Denver

Although Frontier and United may not love Southwest encroaching further into the Denver market, Southwest Airlines is adjusting its flight schedule and Rapid Rewards members will have new award choices from Denver when the carrier adds nonstop service to Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, San Antonio, San Jose and St. Louis from the Mile High City beginning May 10, 2008.

Southwest is adding 40 new flights and eliminating 57 existing flights on that date throughout the flight network. Other new routes include Las Vegas to Jacksonville and Austin to Oakland and Ft. Lauderdale. No existing routes will be completely eliminated, but the frequency of flights will decrease in some markets and increase on popular flights with a high demand.
